Over a year after their initial meeting, Queen Rania of Jordan reunited with Melania Trump at the White House on Monday, June 25. President Donald Trump’s wife hosted the monarch for tea, while their respective husbands — including King Abdullah II — conducted business in the West Wing, the first lady’s communications director Stephanie Grisham confirmed to HOLA! USA.
The Queen, 47, and her hostess, 48, looked characteristically stylish for the reunion — coincidentally coordinating in pink. Rania donned blush-colored wide leg, pleated trousers with an ivory blouse and pink handbag, while the mom-of-one wore a chic pink belted dress and matching stilettos.

Melania and the Jordanian Queen showed off their budding friendship last April during the royals' visit to the White House and later at D.C.’s Excel Academy, where the first lady and her guest participated in a round-table discussion with students, parents and faculty of the school before visiting art and science classrooms. The meeting at the time marked Melania's first official meeting with a royal figure since her husband’s inauguration. The first lady has since spent quality time with Queen Mathilde of Belgium and most recently, her royal style twin Queen Letizia of Spain.
Prior to Melania, Rania was also friendly with former First Lady Michelle Obama. The Queen even spoke on stage at one of Michelle’s “Let Girls Learn” events. As for whether there are plans to involve the monarch in Melania’s Be Best initiative — which aims to teach children the importance of social, emotional, and physical health — the first lady’s communications director told HOLA! USA, “I am sure she would be open to it and they will almost certainly discuss her platform this afternoon.”

The evening before welcoming her royal guests, Melania stepped out on Sunday, June 24, for her first public appearance since her jacket controversy to speak at the Students Against Destructive Decisions' annual conference. At the event, Barron Trump's mother emphasized the importance of kindness. "Kindness, compassion, and positivity are very important traits in life. It is far easier to say nothing than it is to speak words of kindness. It is easier to judge quickly than to take time to understand. It is often easier to see a glass half-empty than half full," Melania said.
The Be Best founder added, "Nevertheless, you have the power to be the positive force in so many people's lives. Show respect to each other. Treat your community like your family, and look out for one another."
