Ricky Martin, Jwan Yosef and kids show off their Beverly Hills home

Ricky Martin and Jwan Yosef have finally found a place to call home. Over a year after purchasing their $13.5 million Beverly Hills house — in November 2016 — the Livin' la Vida Loca singer and his fiancé opened the doors of their "vibrant" estate that they share with Ricky's nine-year-old twin sons Matteo and Valentino. Recalling his hunt for the perfect house, the famous dad-of-two told Architectural Digest that it was all about finding a space that made sense.

My main concern was for comfort and practicality, and I think we’ve accomplished that,” Ricky, 46, said. “Jwan has impeccable taste, so I give him most of the credit for how good everything looks.”

After a marathon house-hunting expedition that saw the pair looking at over 20 homes, Ricky and Jwan decided on the first house they viewed, an 11,300 square foot residence. “We were considering living in London or New York City, but then we decided to rent in Los Angeles for a month, to get a feel for the vibe,” Jwan said. “L.A. totally caught us off guard—we loved it. By the end of the month, we knew we wanted to be here.”

The engaged couple called on famed interior designer and their friend Nate Berkus to give the home a fresh update. "We weren’t interested in a completely decorated home with a specific look done to the last detail. We wanted to get the basics covered so it would be comfortable for us and the kids, but we left plenty of room for the house to grow and evolve in the years to come," Jwan said.

One of the best qualities of their new home is the opportunity to create a comfortable space for everyone. “There’s so much potential for crafting a vibrant, creative environment for our family,” the Assassination of Gianni Versace star said. “You can never be sure what the future will bring, but I can’t wait to find out.”

As for his children’s transition from life on the road to their new home, Ricky noted that there hasn’t been an issue at all. “Tino and Matteo were born on the road,” he said. “They’re used to spending two weeks in one place and then moving on. Our kids are stable when we are together. Wherever we happen to be, that’s home.”
