Kanye West's four-minute monologue
It wouldn't be the VMAs without a classicKanye West moment. Before presenting his new video, Fade, the rapper delivered a speech touching upon his feud with Taylor Swift, his controversial song Famous, the murder rates in Chicago and his personal role models.
"But if you think about last week, there were 22 people murdered in Chicago. You know, like, people come up to me like, ‘Yeah, that’s right! Take Taylor!’ But bro, like, I love all y’all. That’s why I called her," he said at one point. Kim's husband also stated, "My role models are artists, merchants. There’s less than ten that I can name in history. Truman. Ford. Hughes. Disney. Jobs. West."

Nick Jonas served up the bacon to several famous faces. DNCE (which includes Nick's brother Joe Jonas), VS model Taylor Hill, Josh "The Fat Jew" Ostrovsky, Ashley Graham and Odell Beckham Jr. all made cameos during the singer's performance of Bacon outside the arena.
Jimmy Fallon pokes fun at Lochte-gate
The Tonight Show host impersonated Olympian Ryan Lochte, following his Rio scandal, and no one was more entertained by the bit than the swimmer's teammate Michael Phelps, who mouthed the words "Oh my god" as he took out his phone to capture the funny moment.
More like the Bey-MAs
Beyonce stole the show at the 2016 awards delivering a nearly 16-minute performance of her winning album Lemonade. The Grammy winner set the stage on fire, literally, with her costumes and choreography during the epic set, which received a standing ovation from the starry crowd.
Parents' night out Michael Phelps and his fiancée Nicole Johnson left their Instagram star son Boomer at home to enjoy a night at the 2016 VMAs alongside another famous couple, the Wests.

Drake presents Rihanna with an award during on-stage lovefest
After professing his love for Rihanna, Drake presented the singer with the Vanguard Award. In his heartfelt speech, the Hotline Bling artist said, "We love the videos, which change their artistic vision from year to year, but most of all, we love the woman who hasn’t changed since day one. She's someone I’ve been in love with since I was 22-years-old. She's one of my best friends in the world."
