August 29: Just a pop star doing her civic duty! Taylor Swift reported for jury duty in Nashville. The 1989 singer was picked for the jury pool, though she was later dismissed as a prospective juror. According to TMZ Taylor told the judge that she has a pending civil case that involves sexual assault so she didn't think she could be impartial in the aggravated rape/kidnapping case for which they were pulling jurors.
