Now that the Crown has passed from Queen Elizabeth II to her beloved son Charles, the position of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren has changed too.

First in line: Prince William is the elder son of Charles and the late Princess Diana, and was born on 21 June 1982. He and his wife Kate met at university in Scotland and married in 2011. When Charles became King, William and Kate became the Prince and Princess of Wales.

William is a devoted father to the couple’s three children. He works hard for good causes including mental health support and the fight against climate change.

Second in line: William’s firstborn, Prince George, was born in London on 22 July 2013. He’s a sporty little boy who has inherited his mum’s love of tennis and his dad’s love of football.

Third in line: Princess Charlotte was born on 2 May 2015. She looks very like her great-grandmother the Queen, and has a strong, confident character.

Fourth in line: George and Charlotte’s little brother, Prince Louis, was born on 27 April 2018.

The fun-loving four-year-old Prince bears a strong resemblance to his mum Kate.

Fifth in line: Prince Harry is the younger son of Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana, and was born on 15 September 1984. Following his marriage to Suits actress Meghan Markle, the couple stepped back from royal duties and left Britain. They now live in California with their two children.
