He is the son of Britain's favourite celebrity couple, David and Victoria Beckham. She is the daughter of American billionaire Nelson Peltz. After a passionate two-year romance, the countdown has begun for the wedding of Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz – and it will be one of the biggest showbiz celebrations of 2022.
With just one month to go until 22-year-old Brooklyn marries his actress girlfriend, 27, let's take a look at the A-list guests, the stunning setting, the designer gowns and the couple’s love story.
Aspiring food influencer Brooklyn marked the new year by sharing a photo of his beloved on social media, captioning it with the words: “Here we come 2022 x me and my wife are coming for you xx.”
He and Nicola were first linked in October 2019 and announced their engagement in July 2020. She said: "You have made me the luckiest girl in the world. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life by your side. Your love is the most precious gift.”
The couple originally planned to wed last September, but had to postpone their big day due to the coronavirus pandemic.
"If Covid wasn’t a thing we’d like to have been married already, and it's been a bit difficult,” Brooklyn revealed to Hello!
Now, it seems their celebrations are back on track, with reports suggesting that 9 April will be the big day.
As for the venue, the couple have guaranteed themselves privacy by opting to marry at Nicola’s dad's palatial home in Florida.
Perched on the edge of the ocean in the ritzy resort of Palm Beach, the £76m estate won’t be short of space to host the nuptials. It has 27 bedrooms, two swimming pools, a tennis court and a movie theatre, not to mention a guest mansion in the grounds.
The Sunshine State is the perfect location, given the Beckham clan’s close connection to it. Brooklyn's younger brother Romeo plays football for Fort Lauderdale FC while David is part-owner of football club Inter Miami, and the whole family spend a lot of time there.
What about the bride's gown? She is bound to look stunning, since she has been flying to Italy for fittings with legendary Valentino creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli. Nicola, who is reportedly ordering not one but two Valentino dresses, has said of the experience: “We’ve been watching everyone in the atelier; they’re just so talented. The first time I brought my mom and my brother Brad, who’s actually my man of honour.
"It is really a beautiful thing to be part of and it’s very exciting."
It remains to be seen whether a design by her future mother-in-law will also feature. Nicola chose to wear Victoria Beckham when she and Brooklyn got engaged, so it seems likely.
The groom's loving family will certainly play a big role in the ceremony. Romeo, 19, and the youngest Beckham boy, Cruz, 16, will serve as Brooklyn's best men. Former England striker David is thought to be taking on the role of MC.
A starry guest list will include supermodel Gigi Hadid – whose brother Anwar once dated Nicola – and fashionista Nicole Richie.
