An emotional day for popular
Catchphrase host
ROY WALKER
as his son
Phil marries |

It has been an emotional few weeks for
televisions Catchphrasehost Roy Walker. The Irish comic had hardly
recovered from watching his singer-actress daughter Josie Walker in the
previews of Andrew Lloyd Webbers new West End musical The Beautiful
Game which by strange coincidence parallels his early married life
amid the Belfast troubles than he was shedding tears again at the
wedding of his son, Phil.
Both Phil, 34, and his brother Mark, 36, have
followed their father into the comedy business, with Phil, like his dad before
him, making his name in the TV series The Comedians. It was down to
sister Josie, 31, to extend the familys showbiz tradition into musicals,
starring in Cats and Phantom Of The Opera, before opening in
The Beautiful Game this week.

The showbiz family was out in force for
the wedding of Phil and his lovely girlfriend of eight years, Janet Barrow, 31,
a former band singer and show compere who is now a special events organiser.
The one sad absence was that of Roys wife Jean the Walker
childrens mother who died of cancer 11 years ago, aged just 49.
That was the only cloud to dim the bright sunshine as the guests
arrived at St John the Divine Church on East Beach, in the seaside resort of
Lytham St Annes, Lancashire, just down the road from where the couple,
and Roy, live and the same church where Doctors star Jacquie
Leonard had tied the knot just a few weeks before. |

 The new Mr and Mrs
Walker werent expecting to feel any different after tying the knot
because they have been living together for seven years, but Janet describes the
wedding as the seal to their commitment. The newlyweds were off for
a Mediterranean cruise and some golfing in the Algarve before settling down in
