As rising stars of Channel 4’s popular
soap Hollyoaks, Joanna Taylor and Sarah Dunn are getting used to turning
heads -and camera lenses. But despite their tender years (Joanna is just 21;
Sarah is 18) the pair haven’t been fazed by the media feeding frenzy that
surrounds them. It probably helps that
they share a common background in the heady world of modelling.
Sarah is a Hollyoaks veteran of four
years, while Joanna has been with the show for just a year and the two of them
are now firm friends. “We get on brilliantly,” says Joanna, who used
to go out with actor and former EastEnders star Paul Nicholls. “But
then, Sarah is one of the nicest members of the cast. I don’t think
I’ve heard anyone say a bad word about her.”
Both Sarah and Joanna are modest about their looks, which is surprising,
considering that they were both models before landing the parts of Mandy and
Geri.
“I hate my nose because it’s wonky and lopsided,” says Joanna,
while Sarah confesses that she used to want to look like Kylie Minogue.

off-screen and mad for fashion,
which isn’t surprising as both of
them used to be models.
Both are popular cover girls and receive
lots of letters from ardent male fans,
though they insist that they’d never
pose nude.
